I'm a retired Civil Servant, a volunteer cook for the Tall Ships Youth Trust and a School Governor at Kyson Primary School in Woodbridge. I was married for 33 years and now live close to my daughter and 2 grandchildren, who are the focus and joy of my life. I also love long-distance walking, cycling, gardening, reading, sudoku and too much else to mention. My philosophy on life is the same as my blood group (B+!!)

Well done, so far, have been keeping track of your progress, I will try and find you today, to give some morale support.
Hope the weather continues to be kind to you, let me know if there is anything you need.

Hope the weather is continuing to hold for you. On driving from Boston to Grantham I went through 2 hail storms and thought 'What a start'!
I met the Macmillan regional fundraising co-ordinator in Boston just after you left (they were having a flag day) who wished that she had know you were setting off as she would have been there to wish you well and wave you off.
Thinking of you.

Looks like it's going well so far... We are off on our own journey rafting the Coruh river in north-east Turkey (shame you couldn't come - maybe next time??)so won't be posting any comments for two weeks. Doesn't mean we won't be thinking of you though.
Love
Julia

Crikeys mum, that image brings back some memories! That's where I was with Sarah and Mark when Dad had to come and find me because I was late home. oooh :-( (hope Amber doesn't do that...)
I also remember Miss Bland saying in assembly that it was not acceptable for young ladies to be seen on the Meadows in public in passionate embraces with young men whilst in school uniform, though she had to admit she was impressed that the young lady in question managed to keep her school hat on. Wasn't me!!!
It must have been great to walk through the places I think of as home, seeing as we spent longer there than anywhere else. I'm really proud of you, you clever old stick (yeah I know, less of the old...) tt5p4
